The Unusuals – One Man Band & Crime Slut

unusuals-tv-012

I was going to write about each episode separately, but I figured – TWO FOR ONE!

Tuesdays episode was called “One Man Band,” and guess what?  The show opened up with a One Man Band being chased by Banks and Delahoy – and when it looks like the man is going to get away, Delahoy knocks the guy down with an apple.  It was funny.  I like these two.  They’re an old married couple and I love it.

Their apperhension of the band man led to the discovery of a “Murder Store.”  Yes, this is an underground store you can buy anything and everything needed to murder someone and get away with it.  So they put up a sting, figure who ever comes in they’ll arrest, end of story.  Just that simple.

Nothings that simple.  And they find that out when a battered wife of a parole officer comes in.  It was nice seeing them as two good cops.  Sometimes life is more gray than black and white…

As for Shraeger and Walsh – Shraeger learned that helping people out usually isn’t worth it but Walsh stood by her side as it happened.  And when the worse did and Casey had to choose between her job and her past, she choose her job (which is what she should have chosen) much unlike Eddie Alvarez who let his status hungry A.D.A of a wife convince him to step back so that he could get to the top without upsetting the wrong people.

(And did I mention that Nicole Brandt and Casey Shraeger have a past?)

Sadly, for Det. Cole, his chose to get ride of Det. Kowalski with the help of his past robbing buddy has bit him in the butt and will continue to do so… one should never temp the devil unless they are prepared to go to hell.

The second installment of The Unusuals this week, called “Crime Slut,” was just an enjoyable and we found out a lot about the detectives at the 2nd prescient.

Detectives Walsh and Beaumont’s relationship moved to a new level when Beaumont had to admits she was in dire straights financially and that she had been at the pawn shop when it was robbed by the Crime Slut, and on top of that the Crime Slut “Rose” took the watch Walsh lent her.

Casey moved forward with a relationship with Davis – the man who manages her money that she doesn’t want anything to do with.

Banks met a really nice woman from dispatch named Bridget who he will be dating via post-its since he’s afraid to talk to her.  (Which was very sweet actually.)  And Delahoy had to take a moment to consider his humanity.  Sooner or later he will have to tell Banks about his brain tumor – maybe his short chat with Mr. Belzer will force him to finally do that.

On a side note – lets talk about the sound track for this show.  It’s sooo good!   Go the Unusuals for having killer music accompany your show.  Very nice.

The Unusuals airs on ABC Wednesdays @ 10 pm
