Sarah Connor – Adam Raised a Cain

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles – Adam Raised a Cain

I have to say I’m really sad right now…

So here is your recap:  After last week, when John lost the closest thing to a father – Charlie – in a gun battle at The Lighthouse, this week is just got even worse for him…

At the Lighthouse, John found a picture of Savannah Weaver [Mackenzie Brooke Smith] on one of the bodies – Savannah who he remembered from Dr. Sherman’s [Dorian Harewood] office.  So John, Sarah, Derek and Cameron follow the lead and get to her just in time.  You see, they are not the only ones after the cute little red head.  As she sits on the phone talking to John Henry [Garret Dillahunt] while doing her math homework – a T-Unit shows up to kill her, and just in the nick of time John grabs her, with the help of his mom and Cameron – and upstairs – clearing the house – Derek… And when the 3 get away with Savannah, the T-Unit goes back upstairs and kills Derek.

Brian Austin Green – Derek Reese – you will be missed.

Like I said – poor John.  First Charley, then his uncle Derek…

But there is work to be done, and as Sarah always says – “Keep moving” – so she talks to James Ellison [Richard T. Jones] about meeting with Catherine Weaver [Shirley Manson] and they agree to return Savannah first and then set up the meeting.  Which they do…

The second to last episode of the second season of the Sarah Connor Chronicles ended with John Henry and Savannah Weaver singing a song Savannah’s father used to sing to her before he died as they played a montage of the arrest of one Sarah Connor.  So now, the only person John has left, isn’t a person at all.

Next week is the season finale – and I can only imagine what they have in store for us!

Before I leave – the episode name “Adam raised a Cain” is a Bruce Springsteen song and the lyrics are below:

In the summer that I was baptized my father held me to his side
As they put me to the water he said how on that day I cried
We were prisoners of love a love in chains
He was standin in the door I was standin in the rain
With the same hot blood burning in our veins
Adam raised a cain

All of the old faces ask you why you’re back
They fit you with position and the keys to your daddys cadillac
In the darkness of your room your mother calls you by your true name
You remember the faces the places the names
You know its never over its relentless as the rain
Adam raised a cain

In the Bible cain slew abel and east of eden he was cast
Youre born into this life paying for the sins of somebody elses past
Daddy worked his whole life for nothing but the pain
Now he walks these empty rooms looking for something to blame
You inherit the sins you inherit the flames
Adam raised a cain

Lost but not forgotten from the dark heart of a dream
Adam raised a cain
